How it connects

Portfolio advantageFusion Media Server carries the media so that the products using it do not each build their own. Fusion Session Server decides who is in a room and what they may do; Fusion Media Server carries their audio and video, records it, and stores the result.

What Fusion Media Server brings together.

WHAT IT ENABLES One media service behind Fusion’s meetings and live experiences. Fusion Media Server is in development: its control service, storage, and recording run in testing, live video is limited to one presenter, and no product is connected to it yet. The image is a diagram, not a screenshot.

Sessions under explicit control

01 · IN DEVELOPMENTMeetings, gameplay broadcasts, and remote-play sessions with owners and members. Nothing starts, records, or broadcasts until someone with permission asks for it.

Live audio and video

02 · IN DEVELOPMENTOne presenter’s video and audio relayed to viewers over encrypted connections. Several presenters and mixing are planned.

Recording

03 · IN DEVELOPMENTRecord a session as MP4 segments, each stored as an asset of that session for the people allowed to see it.

Screen sharing

04 · IN DEVELOPMENTCapture a window and send it into a session.

Asset storage

05 · IN DEVELOPMENTUpload, download, and delete recordings and files with integrity checks and retention, with each customer’s data kept apart.

Access that can be withdrawn

06 · IN DEVELOPMENTCredentials that expire, immediate revocation, limits on how many requests each caller may make, and HTTPS.

Recovery after an interruption

07 · IN DEVELOPMENTSessions, permissions, and commands survive a restart, and an interrupted operation is marked for recovery rather than guessed at.

Broadcasts to large audiences

08 · PLANNEDBroadcasts delivered through managed streaming and storage providers.

Remote play and 3D streaming

09 · PLANNEDInteractive remote play, and streaming of 3D geometry as well as video.
