How it connects

Portfolio advantageFIS is where Solerra applications run. It includes Fusion Web Server for Solerra, FSML, and FSS, shares its file-transfer code with Fusion FTP, sends its requests to Fusion Stats, and is being built to store site assets through Fusion VFS and to back sites up on a schedule.
FIS Manager with a test configuration of two sites: a tree of sites, listeners, certificates, FTP accounts, deployments, and site traffic beside tiles for hosting, security, FTP, monitoring, and content, and actions to add a site with HTTPS, renew a certificate, and control the Windows service

What Fusion Internet Services brings together.

WHAT IT ENABLES One server for sites, applications, certificates, file transfer, logs, and backups. FIS serves Fusion’s own websites today. What is marked in development or planned is not finished, and FIS has not been released to customers.

Many sites on one server

01 · RUNNING TODAYHost many sites side by side, each with its own host names, folders, listeners, and limits, and change the configuration without restarting the server.

Solerra, static sites, and PHP

02 · RUNNING TODAYServe Solerra sites with FSML and FSS through Fusion Web Server, static sites directly, and PHP through FastCGI using the PHP installed on the machine. A site FIS cannot serve itself yet is forwarded to the server that can.

HTTPS and certificates

03 · RUNNING TODAYGive each site its own certificate, issue Let’s Encrypt certificates from the manager, redirect HTTP to HTTPS, and see when each certificate is due for renewal.

A file transfer server built in

04 · RUNNING TODAYA built-in SFTP server gives each site its own accounts, confined to that site’s folder, with a password or an SSH key. It uses Fusion FTP’s server code. FTPS is planned.

Rules, redirects, and access control

05 · RUNNING TODAYAliases, ordered redirect, deny, and forward rules, a fallback for single-page applications, and allow and deny lists of addresses for each site.

Request logs and statistics

06 · RUNNING TODAYA W3C request log for each site and day with the fields you choose, and a request feed for Fusion Stats. A traffic view inside FIS Manager is in development.

Asset deduplication

07 · IN DEVELOPMENTStore the static assets of an owner’s sites once: identical blocks are kept a single time in a Fusion VFS store, and FIS Manager shows the pool’s logical size, stored size, and savings. It is being built for Windows first.

Site backup

08 · IN DEVELOPMENTFull, incremental, and differential backups on a schedule, verified and restored to a new folder, with S3, FTP, FTPS, and Fusion’s cloud backup as destinations, and backup status that a site’s own Solerra code can read.

FIS Manager

09 · RUNNING TODAYOne manager for Windows and Fusion OS: sites, listeners, certificates, FTP accounts, PHP, address rules, and service controls, with each change reviewed and validated before it is saved.
